Nadav Zafrir

Nadav Zafrir is the Co-Founder and CEO of Team8, Israel's leading cybersecurity think tank and venture creation initiative. Team8’s mission is to initiate and build long-term, disruptive cyber-security companies that enable organizations to gain the advantage over cyber attackers. It leverages its collective cybersecurity expertise and vast international network to identify the problems that can serve as the basis for innovative, category-leading companies that challenge the world's toughest and most daunting cybersecurity threats. Team8 is backed by an all-star lineup of research and strategic partners and investors including Cisco, AT&T, Microsoft, Accenture, Qualcomm, Nokia, Temasek, Mitsui, Bessemer Venture Partners, Eric Schmidt’s Innovation Endeavors and Marker LLC. Prior to founding Team8, Nadav served as Commander of “Unit 8200”, an elite military technology unit that has become an incubator for Israel’s renowned hi-tech sector, where he established the Israel Defense Forces’ Cyber Command. Nadav holds an LL.B from the Herzliya Interdisciplinary Centre and an MBA from the Kellogg-Recanati International Executive MBA Program at Tel Aviv University. Nadav travels the world delivering presentations to executives, boards and security professionals on integrating resilience mechanisms into organizations, and on cyber as an enabler of true digital transformation. He recently presented at World50, Google’s Zeitgeist, xPrize, FireEye’s Annual Summit and Israel’s CyberTech.  Nadav was born on Kibbutz Anavim near Jerusalem and grew up in Ecuador. He returned to Israel at the age of 18 to enlist in the army. He recently moved to New York with his wife, three kids and dog to launch the Team8 Hub in the US.
