Director John W. Holiday

John W. Holiday was named Executive Director of the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security in February 2016.  In this position, Holiday serves as the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Homeland Security Advisor for the U.S Department of Homeland Security.

Director Holiday is responsible for leading and developing a comprehensive statewide homeland security strategy, which coordinates local, state and federal efforts to detect, deter, mitigate, and respond  to any terrorist attacks, including nuclear, biological, chemical, electromagnetic pulse, agro-, eco-, or cyber-terrorism or any other incidents that affect the security of Kentucky.

As an Intelligence Officer and a soldier for nearly three decades, serving in all combat theaters within the U.S. Department of Defense, Mr. Holiday specialized in intelligence and counterintelligence operations as a Counterintelligence Special Agent.
