Ryan Hadley

Ryan Hadley is the Deputy Director of Legislative & External Affairs for the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, which is the state agency that regulates public utilities in the state of Indiana. 

In his role, Hadley implements the Commission’s legislative and policy strategy. He also oversees the strategic use of the million dollar Underground Plant Protection Account fund, which reinvests paid penalties for violations of the state’s “Call Before You Dig” law into public education, training, and incentive programs. In addition, he leads the Commission’s team during the activation of the State Emergency Operations Center  in the Emergency Support Function 12 role, which assists the Indiana Department of Homeland Security by overseeing energy-related issues. 

Hadley graduated from the University of Southern Indiana in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. He and his wife reside in Indianapolis.
