CISO for Indiana University
Jason Williams is the CISO for Indiana University, recently joining IU in March 2022. Prior to IU, he served as CISO for the University of California Office of the President and as Director of Information Security & Compliance for the University of Notre Dame. With almost 2 decades of experience in higher education IT, including roles in systems and network engineering, instructional technology support, and as an adjunct professor teaching networking and security, Jason has a history of success supporting and protecting complex and decentralized institutions. Jason has his master’s degree in National Security and Information Protection from the University of New Haven and his bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Stanford University. Outside of work, Jason is an avid runner and a passionate advocate for information privacy.
