U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana
Zachary A. Myers was sworn in as the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana on November 15, 2021. Myers was nominated by President Joseph R. Biden and was unanimously confirmed by the Senate.
As the U.S. Attorney, Myers leads an office of approximately 42 Assistant United States Attorneys and 46 support professionals who litigate matters involving federal criminal offenses, civil litigation and the promotion of public safety throughout the district. The Southern District of Indiana is comprised of the southern sixty counties in the state. The U.S. Attorney’s Office is based in Indianapolis, with a staffed office in Evansville, and unstaffed satellite offices in Terre Haute and New Albany.
Myers spent more than a decade as a career federal prosecutor. Myers served as an AUSA for the District of Maryland from 2014 until assuming office as U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana in 2021.
